Orchestra for Everyone to enjoy ~Universal Concert on March 22 - Guidance for you to come to Kitara
~While coming to Kitara~
●The venue of this concert is Sapporo Concert Hall Kitara, in the middle of Nakajima Park. Snow is still seen on the ground, and we advise you to come to the hall with enough time, with much care.
●There is no public parking area in Kitara. Please come by the public transportation.
Parking lot for the wheelchair user is available only if you reserve in advance (all the parking lots are reserved for this concert.)

【Using Public Transportation】
10 minutes walk from either Nakajima-koen Station or Horohira-bashi Station, both Namboku Line Subway.
For Nakajima-koen Station, use the exit No. 3 and step up the stairs or use an escalator. For Horohira-bashi, use the exit No. 1. If you need to use an elevator (lift), you need to exit from exit No. 1 for Nakajima-koen, or exit No. 2 at Horohira-bashi.

【Visit by car or by taxi】
Enter the Concert Hall area from the south side of Nakajima Park (where Gokoku Shrine is situated) and you can make your approach to the car space at the side of the hall. Please follow instructions by the guide at the gate. There are some public paid parking lots around the area, however, they would likely to be full at the time of the concert.


~When you arrive in Kitara~
●The concert is at Large Hall, and door opens at 1pm.
If you arrive before door open, please wait at the entrance hall.
●There are restrooms at the entrance hall and also a multiple purpose restroom, easily accessible for wheelchair users. Restrooms and multiple purpose restrooms are available also in the Large Hall area.
●8 Rental wheelchairs are available an the sub-entrance of the hall and near the basement elevator, for first come, first serve basis.


~When doors at the entrance hall open~
●If you are not certain where to go, or where your seat is, ask the receptionists.
●Seats inside the hall are allocated around the stage where musicians perform. You may need to use stairs to reach your seat. Seats are located at 3 levels, from the first or ground floor, the 2nd floor and the 3rd floor. You can use the escalator or elevators to go to upper level.
●You would see a large pipe organ at the back of the stage, and screens located at both sides. The screens will show time as clocks until start of the concert.
●If you are coming with a stroller, there is a space to place your stroller in the foyer.
●If you are coming with walking assistance devices or by wheelchair, staff may ask you to leave your device at the nearby door to your seat.
●Concert program booklet is available and upon your request, we can present a program with voice code, a program with larger printing, or with braille.

~When the concert starts~
●Lights inside the hall will not be turned off.
●Screens at both side of the pipe organ will show subtitles or video that would assist you.
●Musicians are to be on stage, but may appear at the seating area.
●The concert lasts for 60 minutes without intermission. If you feel uncomfortable during the concert, you can get out of the hall and go to foyer at any time.
●There are calm-down or cool down seating areas inside the hall. Please inform the receptionists if you wish to move to those areas.
●There are also a calm-down or cool down area inside the foyer, i.e. a closed area, where you can watch the concert on the monitor. Ask receptionists for assistance.
●It is dangerous if you run inside the hall as there are many stairs. It is dangerous to stand up on the seat or on the lap. Please do not overlook from the seat.
●Taking photographs and recordings are prohibited inside the hall.

~After the concert~
●Kindly cooperate in answering questionnaires either on paper or from online. Staff are happy to listen to your comments on the concert and take notes.
We need hear your opinions in order to decide whether or not we continue this Universal Concert.
●Staff will ask you to retire from the hall and foyer 30 minutes after the end of the concert, around 3:30pm.

<<Other useful tips>>
●Can I bring something to drink or nibble?
Eating and drinking are not allowed inside the hall, but it is free to eat or drink in the foyer. There are a restaurant and vending machines in Kitara hall. Café corner is closed during this concert (revised on March 18).
Hot water is not served.
●Can I change diaper or change my cloths?
There is a room for parents and babies, and 2 rooms with privacy for adults to change.
There is a closed nursing space for mom and a baby (limited only for mothers).
※A child alone cannot enter the room for the parents and babies.
※There is a babysit service for children who do not attend the concert (paid service upon reservation)
●Is there anything that visitor can enjoy other than concert?
There are Photo session area and "Feel weight and size of string instruments" area inside the foyer.

★We hope everyone enjoy the concert★
There are guests who are coming to the concert hall for the first time. Some people may get surprised with a large sound or lights. Some people may get excited, feel so happy that their body moves around or shout. For this concert, we hope everyone would enjoy their own likings. We ask for your understandings and cooperation.
