Benjamin APPL(baritone)

Born in Germany. Mentored by the 20th century legendary Artist Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Appl describes the partnership as an ‘invaluable and a hugely formative influence. He [Fischer-Dieskau] is an inspiration – someone who is always searching and seeking a deeper understanding of music and of life. He was a role model for how to prosper as an artist, never just delivering, but each time creating.’
An established recitalist, Appl appeared in Ravinia, Rheingau, Schleswig Holstein, Edinburgh, Heidelberg Frühling and Oxford International festivals and in prestigious halls around the world, including Carnegie Hall (USA) and Wigmore Hall (UK), as well as captivating audiences with orchestras conducted by maestros such as Klaus Mäkelä, Andrew Manze and Ton Koopman. In 2018, he made his debut in Japan with the NHK Symphony Orchestra conducted by Paavo Järvi and has also appeared in "Suntory 10,000 Ninth" and "Sound Stage".
