SAPPORO SYMPHONY ORCHSTRA AUDITION

 

Sapporo Symphony Orchestra announces the following vacancies for
a Principal Oboe, a Violin(tutti) and a Double bass(tutti)

・Preliminary round: Recorded Auditｉon

Applicants should send a recording of their playing in CD-R with resume including applicant's name, phone number, address and e-mail address. Repertoire for the recording should consist of those as listed in below. CD-R should be recorded with the track number on each beginning.

 

・ Final round: Live auditions. 　On Mon. March 12th and Tue．Ｍａｒｃｈ13th，2012 at Sapporo Art park, Sapporo, Japan.

 

Deadline:

Mon. January 27^th,　2012 (for violin and doublebass)

Mon. February 6th,　2012 (for oboe)

 

 *All submitted recording are NOT returnable.

W.A.Mozart/ Oboe Concerto  *piano accompanist is required

1)1st mov. Beginning to 97^thbar

2) 2nd mov. Beginning to 40^th bar

 

●VIOLIN (tutti)
Concertos  *including Cadenza, piano accompanist is required

1) 1st mov. chosen from Mozart's Violin Concerto No3, No.4 and No.5

2) 1st mov. chosen from standard concertos written below;
　    Paganini, No.1 op.6/ Mendelssohn, op.64/ Lalo,No.2 op.21/ Brahms,op.77/
       Saint-Saens, No.3 op.61/ Bruch No.1 op.26/ Tchaikovsky,op.35/ Sibelius, op.47/

Orchestral Excerpts

3)  Beethoven/ Symphony No.9, 2nd mov. Beginning to first note of [B] *2^nd violin

4)  R.Strauss/ Symphonic poem "Don Juan", beginning to 13^th bar of [C] *1^st violin

 

●DOUBLE BASS (tutti)

Concerto

Dittersdorf/ concerto in E (ed.Schott), inorchestral tuning *piano accompanist is required

1) 1st mov in D,  including Cadenza (ver.Gruber)

2) 2nd mov. in G NOT including Candenza

Orchestral excerpts

Beethoven/ Symphony No.5

3) 3rd mov., Beginning to 78th bar

4) 3rd mov., 137th bar to 218 bar (without repeat)

Orchestral excerpts/  Successful applicants at the Preliminary round will be informed the assigned orchestral excerpts, Assigned excerpts may include English horn's.

 

●VIOLIN

Concertos/  1^st mov. of the Mozart Concertos same as preliminary audition

Orchestral excerpts/  Successful applicants at the Preliminary round will be informed the assigned orchestral excerpts．

 

●DOUBLE BASS

Concertos/  Same as preliminary audition

Orchestral excerpts/  Successful applicants at the Preliminary round will be informed the assigned orchestral excerpts．
